The creators of the MH3 V8 RS Clubsport – the performance specialists at Manhart Racing in Wuppertal, Germany – are now transplanting its internal organs into their new customised M3 convertible so to speak. The transplant involves ‘taming’ the new M3 slightly, as over against the MH3 V8 RS Clubsport, but it still creates the quickest and most powerful convertible of its class. The newly-developed and constructed MH3 V8 R Biturbo convertible again underscores the fact that the specialists at Manhart have lost nothing of their legendary technical expertise, even under new management. Alpha N Performance BMW 1M RS thumb Alpha N Performance BMW 1M RS   410HPAlpha-N has revealed their tuning variant for BMW 1M coupe is next in line. The vehicle dubbed by Alpha-N as the 1M RS features a ventilated carbon hood, front fascia add-on carbon lower spoilers, carbon roof, carbon luggage lid spoiler and a carbon rear fascia diffuser.

For engine performance, Alpha-N offers basic upgrades which consist of a remapped ECU, new air intake and exhaust system, all of which provide an addition 70 HP (51 kW) over the serial 340 HP (250 kW) for a total of 410 HP (302 kW).

Other upgrades include a MAC high-performance braking system which include 6-piston calipers, 380 mm disks and braided stainless steel lines. Lastly, lightweight OZ Superforgiata rims measuring 8.5×19-inches in the front and 10×19-inches in the rear are fitted with a Michelin Cup tires in 245 and 265 width. (more…)
