Summer is here, and there’s no better way to enjoy the sun than a drive in a fast convertible. We now have the stainless steel KW Variant 3 coilover kit available for the new BMW M4 Convertible.
The Variant 3 KW coilover kit for the new BMW M4 Convertible (F83) allows a continuously variable lowering between the approved range of 15 to 40mm.
While most coilover kits only allow you to lower the car, the stainless steel KW coilover kit offers the advantage to separately adjust the rebound and compression damping forces. (more…)
It seems the folks over at Vossen Wheels have an affection for the Melbourne Red BMW 6 Series. The recently revealed BMW 650i M-Sport with Vossen CVT Gloss Graphite wheels has just received an update. This time, the wheel company chose to install a set of these same wheels, but with a different finish.
These Vossen CVT wheels are sized 22? with a Gloss Graphite finish. The interesting spoke design, matched with a nice lowering for this BMW 6 Series, improves the outer appearance of the car even further. The wheel spokes have an aggressive and directional design which make for an interesting look. The Gloss Graphite finish works well wit the Melbourne Red color adding a contrasting effect to the car. The BMW M550d is not just impressive because of its pioneer engine layout – speaking of multi-stage turbocharging and variable turbine geometry with three turbochargers – but because of its power output as well: 381 hp (280 kW) and a 740 Nm of torque enable a “M”- like driving dynamics, thus this Power-Diesel is allowed to carry the legendary “M” in its name. The first Diesel in the BMW history!
But this is not the end in terms of power output, yet. Thanks to the microprocessor controlled power module D-Tronik 5 V1 the M550d becomes a real G-POWER amongst the BMW diesel models. More than 435 hp/(320 kW) and an awesome 850 Nm of torque are the result of the dyno test. (more…)
