The basis for the electronic output increase from G-POWER for the BMW M6 convertible is the fact that G-POWER, in contrast to the manufacturer, does not use standard software full of compromises for the engine but an individual solution. G-POWER calls this bespoke remapping of the factory ECU: Bi-Tronik 2. Among others, the parameters for the amount of fuel and the ignition timing are modified depending on the increased boost level. At the same time the Bi-Tronik 2 allows the individual wishes of the customer vis-à-vis throttle response and power delivery characteristics to be written into the software. (more…)

For any hard-core petrolhead who lives less than 90 km from the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife, a full season ticket for this holy place is an essential fact of life.
However, for maximum enjoyment of the Nordschleife you need to own an effective track weapon. Christian Kreher, the owner of KBR Motorsport, a small, but highly regarded tuning company, has just such a track tool based on a 2013 BMW M3 E92, which he regularly brings to the ‘Ring. Apart from its sheer fun factor, this Clubsport conversion also serves as perfect proof of KBR Motorsport’s capabilities. (more…)
BMW has set a course for the future in GT racing with the presentation of the newly developed BMW M6 GT3 at the 66th IAA Cars 2015 in Frankfurt am Main (DE). The Mineral White M4 is fitted with the V-FF 102 wheel in Carbon Graphite. The size for this application is a staggered fitment consisting of 20×9.5 with a standard concavity front profile and 20×10.5 deep concavity rear profile.
The Vorsteiner V-FF 102 wheels are made using an advanced flow forging process that helps to create an ultra-dense composition, allowing less material to be used to achieve a given strength. This helps to reduce weight, which can make a world of difference at the wheel hub. (more…)
The word might have spread that the term standard is missing from the vocabulary of VOS company seated in Neckarwestheim. The fact that BMW 1 series M Coupe with 340 hp (= 250 kW) is not initially extremely delicate, is widely recognized. Perhaps by somebody, who owns an exemplar (from a good 6.000 models in total) of the Boliden no longer in production. The company OK-Chiptuning in Neukirchen-Vluyn, which specializes in software optimization under the lead management of Kai-Uwe OTTLINGHAUS, from time to time, takes up supposedly “incorrigible” vehicles, to prove the opposite.
