BMW has already celebrated their 25^th anniversary of its first ever 12-cylinder powered 7-series production vehicles. The engine first debuted in 1987 and that gave the Bayerische Motoren Werke company the idea of launching a special 25 Years Anniversary Edition. If you are interested, this model can be ordered in the BMW Center and will be delivered next year with a price tag ranging from about  $ 160,000. (more…)

Today, BMW announced updates to the second generation of the successful BMW ALPINA B7 super-high performance luxury sedan with more performance, fresh design features, and improved efficiency. The new B7 is slated for a North American debut at the historic Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in August and will go on-sale immediately thereafter. Pricing will be $128,495 (B7 Standard Wheelbase), $131,495 (B7 SWB with xDrive), $132,395 (B7 Long Wheelbase), and $135,395 (B7 LWB with xDrive) including $895 destination and handling. (more…)

BMW launched a very special limited edition 25th Anniversary Edition 760Li V-12 reflecting a rich tradition of V-12 engines that began back in 1987 with the then groundbreaking BMW 750iL when BMW engineers crafted the most Ultimate Driving Machine of its day with the introduction of its first automotive V-12 engine. Only 15 of these very limited edition models will be available to US customers on a special order basis only for BMW Center delivery in early 2013 at a price of $159,695 including destination and handling. BMW 7-Series 760iL received a serious upgrade package from the German specialists – Tuningwerk. The long wheelbase version of the model is boosted to whopping 720PS (530 kW) and 1090Nm (804 lb-ft) of torque.

The performance is rather impressive – 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 350 km/h (218 mph). More is better, but in terms of power, but the weight has been reduced for maximum performance.

The huge car is 120 kg lighter than the original version thanks to some carbon fiber parts including lightweight carbon-ceramic brakes and a new sport exhaust system. The total weight of the car is 2030 kg.

The price is hefty, too. Tuningwerk BMW 7-Series 760iL costs €198 000, which is decent for such comfort and speed. This is the fastest full-size luxury car on the planet. (more…)

Mansory has revealed their tuning program for the flagship sedan of BMW – the 7-Series F01 and F02 (long version).

The exterior modifications include a new front bumper with integrated LED daytime running lights and a new carbon grille. Over the rear windscreen is a roof spoiler and the back end features a new apron, diffuser and integrated stainless-steel quad-pipes from the new sport exhaust system fitted by Mansory.

There are performance packages for the mighty 750i and the 760Li. The 750i with a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 consists of an ECU remap and sport air filter – the total power is 490HP (360 kW) and 720Nm (531 lb-ft). (more…)
