BMW M5 F10 “30 Jahre M5” Special Edition is here! It features a lot of performance improvements and unique details. M5 F10 30 Jahre is designed for celebrating the 30th anniversary of M5. Only 300 units will be produced from the limited edition model.

The Competition Package boosts the 4.4 liter twin-turbocharged V8 to 575HP (423 kW) – an increase of 15HP. It also makes the response sharper and the acceleration is slightly better. 0-100 km/h is improved with 0.1 seconds and 0-200 km/h with 0.2 seconds. It is not the first time that G-Power is improving its own record. Already in 2010 a G-Power M5 Hurricane (sedan) improved its record of 367,4 km/h for the world’s fastest sedan, established two years before, to 372,1 km/h.
Currently the modified Bi-Kompressor system for the BMW M5/M6 E6X series – featuring the legendary high–rev V10 engine – enables the G-Power M5 Hurricane RR Touring to a new top speed of 362 km/h, making it in spite of the electronically limitation to the fastest station wagon in the world. Of course the G-Power Hurricane RR Touring sets new performance standards not just for top speed. BMW has announced M5 and M6 Gran Coupe Horse Edition exclusively for China. The two special edition performance cars are designed to celebrate the year of the horse. Both of them come with minor special modifications.
The engine is the well-known 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 with 560HP (412 kW) and 680Nm (502 lb-ft). It is mated to a 7-speed M Double Clutch Transmission. 0-100 km/h in 4.4 seconds, 0-200 km/h in 13 seconds and top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph) electronically limited and 305 km/h (190 mph) with M Driver’s Package. Once again, AC Schnitzer has developed a complete product range for this model which includes performance upgrades, exhaust systems, wheel and tyre combinations, aerodynamic bodystyling components and accessories for the interior.
More power is available for vehicles with diesel or petrol engines, in both rear-wheel and xDrive variants. The range of performance upgrades is vast, giving extra power of between 34 and 93 hp depending on basic engine. (more…)
The BMW Group continued its successful course in September with another record month in sales. With 189,675 (prev. yr. 177,726) BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce vehicles delivered worldwide, sales were 6.7% higher than in the same month last year. In the first nine months of 2013, sales increased by 7.5% to the new all-time high of 1,436,178 vehicles (prev. yr. 1,335,502).
Ian Robertson, member of the Board of Management of BMW AG, responsible for Sales and Marketing BMW: “We achieved record global deliveries for the month of September and the first nine months of the year. Despite initial signs of stabilisation in the European automobile market, conditions in many countries remain challenging. However, we have been able to keep our European sales on a similar level year-on-year and once again reported major gains in the U.S. and Asia. We are therefore well on our way to another increase in deliveries for the full year 2013 and a new sales record.” (more…)
