With the X5 M, BMW has a very hot iron in the fire of the Power-SUV class. Forcibly ventilated by two Twin-Scroll Turbochargers, the X5 M of the current F85-series is factory-presettet with a 4,4 liter V8-engine with 575 hp which pushes 750 Nm onto the crankshaft . Of course, the BMW specialists from Manhart Performance, located in Wuppertal, discovered even in such a large-caliber bullet further untapped development potential, which they sounded throughout the transformation from the X5 M into the Manhart MHX5 700. The extreme widebody kits from LB Performance absolutely do enjoy cult status within the global tuning scene. Reason enough for the the specialists from PP Exclusive, to present their brand new “Deep Concave” rims in the appropriate setting. This three-piece forged wheel has an anodized aluminum outer rim, and – due to its five wide spokes – a pretty timeless design. Additionally, the rim is exclusively finished with special carbon inlays, which of course are available in different colors upon request. The star billing in BMW’s current M portfolio, the F8X series M3/M4 now receives a performance upgrade from G-POWER centred on their in-house developed Bi-Tronik 2 V2.
Boosting output to 560 hp / 412 kW with 720 Nm of torque, this conversion catapults the Bavarian super saloon/coupe to 100km/h from a standing start in just 3.8 seconds.
In line with G-POWER’s seven high-speed world records, a customer can also request the remap to include removal of the factory Vmax limitation, raising top speed to a theoretical 330km/h. In reality, the car will achieve around 310km/h. (more…)
The recently unveiled M6 GT3 is BMW’s new GT3 category challenger for the 2016 motorsports season. However, the fact that this fully-fledged race machine will never wear licence plates does not preclude the existence of a street legal doppelganger.
Inspired by the muscular looks of the M6 GT3, Dinslaken-based M&D exclusive car design have taken a humble 650i (F13) Coupe and turned it into a dead ringer for BMW’s new podium chaser.
Known as the PD6XX GT3, the sleek 6-Series Coupe is dressed to kill with M&D’s bespoke wide-body aero kit that starts with a new front bumper featuring enlarged front air intakes, along with a front splitter and dive planes on each side to reduce lift. (more…)
BMW Team RLL will participate in the Nov. 17-18 IMSA test at Daytona International Speedway marking the first public test of BMW’s latest endurance racing challenger, the BMW M6 GTLM. As announced during last season’s Petit Le Mans weekend, BMW Team RLL is expected to campaign two M6 GTLM race cars in the 2016 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.
The M6 GTLM recently completed its first US test at Sebring International Raceway in late October along with a M6 GT3 machine that will provide the foundation for BMW’s worldwide customer racing program. 2015 season drivers Bill Auberlen, Dirk Werner and John Edwards participated at Sebring along with 2014 GTLM driver champion Kuno Wittmer, who has signed with BMW of (more…)

The city of Dusseldorf takes delivery of twelve BMW police cars. The Munich-based automaker delivered the 318d Tourings to the Interior Minister – Ralf Jäger.
Over the next three years, BMW will supply a total of 1,800 BMW 3 Series Touring to the police and therefore set the new standard for patrol cars. In addition, the BMW Group also provides 130 BMW 5 Series Touring (F11 520d LCI) and 121 BMW R 1200 RT motorcycles – all suitable vehicles for numerous police scenarios. (more…)

BMW had barely removed the wraps from their brand new M2 when Alpha-N Performance revealed how their in-house ‘RS’ version of this new high-performance coupe might look.
For greater aerodynamic efficiency and a more purposeful appearance, the Alpha-N engineers equipped the aggressive nose of the M2 with a carbon fibre front spoiler featuring an adjustable air splitter and optimised brake-cooling vents. Carbon-fibre is also used for sculpted elements on the front bumper and side sills. (more…)
