2014 BMW M3 F80 was put on some various tests at the Nürburgring. The new M3 is going to have a six-cylinder petrol engine with several turbochargers, probably three.

The engine will also get a heavily modified cylinder head and a strengthened aluminum block in order to maintain the power, which will be around 450HP. It will be mated to a standard manual gearbox or to an optional DCT (double-clutch transmission), which is faster than the manual variant. (more…)

AC Schnitzer boosted the Diesel range significantly: 318d and 320d to achieve 171 HP (126 kW) and 218 HP (160 kW). The performance upgrades for the 328i and 335i will realise 294 HP (216 kW) and 360 HP (265 kW) but both are still in the final development stage. One thing is for sure: with the AC Schnitzer performance upgrades the 3 series will have an even more impressive presence.

Manhart Racing has announced their latest project based on BMW 1-Series M Coupe. The project name is Manhart BMW MH1 S Biturbo.

It is boosted to whopping 465HP (342 kW) and 600Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque, which is an increase of 125HP (92 kW).

The result is thanks to a large charging air cooler and a larger water cooler.

The tuned 1-Series comes with MHR Concave One forged wheels in size 9J x 20” in the front and 10.5J x 20” in the back, applied with Continental Sport Contact 5P-high-performance tyres in 245/30 ZR20 and 295/25 ZR20.

Other improvements include a special MHR front spoiler was added as well as MHR motor cowl, MHR trunk lid of light-weight carbon and MHR tail diffuser.

Last, but not least are the mirror caps, of course from carbon fiber. (more…)

Kelleners package includes a new front bumper fascia with lower lip spoiler and three-piece polished stainless steel air vent inserts, sides skirts and rear bumper diffuser.

Engine upgrades provide a performance increase of approximately 20%. The 535d is boosted from 313 HP (230 kW) to 376 (277 kW) and756 Nm (558 lb-ft) of torque instead of the regular 630 Nm (465 lb-ft). The 550i now has 490 HP (360 kW) from the standard 407 HP (299 kW). Torque also increases from 600 to 720 Nm (442 – 530 lb-ft). The exhaust system is also from Kelleners and features four round 90mm stainless steel tail pipes. (more…)

The Porsche is powered by a naturally aspirated flat-six with 125HP (92 kW) hp/liter. This means 500HP (368 kW) and 460Nm (339 lb-ft) of torque from the 4.0 liter six-cylinder. It is mated to a 6-speed sport gearbox. The curb weight of the vehicle is just 1370 kg (3000 lbs). 0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and top speed of 311 km/h (193 mph).

The BMW has an updated version of the M3 engine – a hi-revving 4.4 liter V8 with 450HP (331 kW) at 8300RPM and 475Nm (325 lb-ft) at 3750RPM. The engine is mated to a re-tuned 7-speed M Dual Clutch Transmission with Drivelogic. 0-100 km/h in 4.4 seconds and a top speed of 305 km/h (190 mph). The total weight is 1530kg.

The Mercedes has a 6.2 liter V8 AMG engine with 517HP (380 kW) and 620Nm (460 lb-ft). It is coupled to an AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission with four driving modes. 0-100 km/h in 4.2 seconds and a top speed of 300 km/h (186 mph). (more…)

BMW M3 E92 is powered by high-revving 4.0 litre V8 with 420PS (309 kW) at 8300RPM and 400m (295 lb-ft) at 3900RPM. The engine is mated either with 6-speed manual or SMG III dual-clutch gearbox. It is astonishingly fast – 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds and top speed is 250 km/h (electronically limited) and without the limiter, it will easily top 300 km/h. The price is € 72 900.

Took my car to the local drag strip last night and boy was I happy.

My first run was a 11.92 @ 119 mph with a 1.9 sixty foot.

My second run after getting use to the ridiculous launch controll I was able to get a 1.85 sixty foot leading to 11.78 @119mph. I think I can get a little better time out of it as I get used to the launch controll.

The car is bone stock including tires and air pressure .

All runs done in comfort suspension setting, reducing the amount of tire spin do to wait transfer to the rear. Sport plus everything else. (more…)

BMW launched a very special limited edition 25th Anniversary Edition 760Li V-12 reflecting a rich tradition of V-12 engines that began back in 1987 with the then groundbreaking BMW 750iL when BMW engineers crafted the most Ultimate Driving Machine of its day with the introduction of its first automotive V-12 engine. Only 15 of these very limited edition models will be available to US customers on a special order basis only for BMW Center delivery in early 2013 at a price of $159,695 including destination and handling. G-Power has announced a tuning package for BMW E92 M3. The project name is SK III and it comes with  ASA T1-723 supercharger and some modifications to the exhaust and the air intake. The engine displacement is also bigger.

The result is 720HP (537 kW) – 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 330 km/h (206 mph).

This tuning program also features a Clubsport adjustable suspension and a set of enormous 20” Silverstone Diamond wheels wrapped around in Michelin tires.

There are some elements from carbon fiber like the boot lid and the hood. The final touch is a front bumper lip spoiler.
