The MINI Superleggera™ Vision is on the one hand a classic roadster, a compact and agile two-seater, expressing the most minimalist and emotional style of motoring; and on the other hand its electric drivetrain gives the car distinctly modern driving dynamics. BMW has officially unveiled the Vision Future Luxury Concept. The car is quite interesting and stands for a forward-looking fusion of exclusivity and innovation. Lumma Design is going to introduce CLR packages for the i8 Sports car and the i3 Electric Vehicle. The tuning company will install only styling upgrades on both vehicles.
Lumma CLR i8 is going to get a new front spoiler, side skirts and rear bumper with diffuser, while CLR i3 is going to receive a front spoiler lip, a specially designed hood and side skirts, which are all made of high-strength and ultra-light carbon. (more…)
A new BMW i Concept vehicle will make its world debut and the BMW i8 Concept Roadster will make its North American auto show debut at the 2012 Los Angeles International Auto Show on Wednesday, November 28th at the BMW Stand at 3:10 p.m. – 3:45 p.m. PST at the Los Angeles Convention Center (1201 South Figueroa Street) in Los Angeles. The new BMW i Concept and BMW i8 Concept Roadster vehicles are the next generation of vehicles from BMW i, BMW’s brand dedicated to sustainability and future mobility. BMW has released a nice video of the amazing Vision ConnectedDrive.
The vehicle concentrates on communication, infotainment and safety. It is a two-seater roadster with aggressive lines and a flat sporting and dynamic silhouette. There are some transparent surfaces providing a cool light show.
Vision ConnectedDrive resembles a Vision EfficientDynamics roadster and features a wide grille, huge air intakes, a frameless windscreen and a transparent area in the hood.
The interior is split into two main sections as the driver and passenger are separated by a flowing center console. The Passenger Information Display in the instrument panel can come to life with a single touch. (more…)

BMW has introduced the new M3 DTM race car, which will be on show to motorsport fans and visitors to BMW Welt at the weekend. The car offers an initial impression of what the BMW M3 DTM will look like when it lines up at the start of the 2012 season.
BMW M3 DTM race car is powered by the powerful V8 engine equipped with the air restrictor as detailed in the technical regulations. It develops 480BHP (353 kW), which is enough to catapult the car to 100 km/h in about 3 seconds and to hit a top speed of 300 km/h.

BMW exhibits the ECO-friendly concepts i3 and i8 at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. Both vehicles will set a new bars in turn of efficiency.
The small i3 Concept is a four-seater city car with 5 doors, which is powered only by electric motor, but with astonishing power – 170PS (125 kW) and 250Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque. There is a lithium-ion battery package delivering up to 160 km (100 miles) range. 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds and top speed of 150 km/h (93 mph). The overall weight of the vehicle is 1250 kg (2755 lbs). BMW i3 is perfect for everyday driving with its range and once the battery is depleted, it can be recharged in just 6 hours to 100%.
The i8 Concept is completely different vehicle. It comes with a turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder petrol combined with an electric motor. The total power is 353PS (260 kW) and 550Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque. 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds and top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). The curb weight of the vehicle is 1480kg, so the results are impressive. (more…)
